Michael R. Caputo is co-founder and executive vice president of Ave Maria Biotech in Ave Maria, Florida.

A United States Army veteran, Michael served as Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in 2020. While leading the agency’s communications through President Donald J. Trump’s COVID-19 response, he was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. After beating the disease, he worked in health policy for President Trump’s 2024 campaign.
