President's Cancer Panel

Cancer Screening during COVID-19

The President’s Cancer Panel is conducting a meeting, Improving Resilience and Equity in Cancer Screening: Innovation to Increase Screening.

This day-long meeting will focus on innovations and solutions to advance cancer screening. The President’s Cancer Panel Fall 2020 series reviewed cancer screening across four cancer types – lung, colorectal, cervical, and breast cancers. Through these meetings, stakeholders across the spectrum of the National Cancer Program articulated the barriers to improving cancer screening as well as opportunities for overcoming them. The Panel will meet with key innovators who can develop and implement improvements in the areas of public health and community engagement, data sharing and professional training, and remote care and insurance. Viewers will be able to watch and listen as invited experts engage with the Panel in moderated two-hour sessions. There will also be opportunities for public comment and questions throughout the meeting. The Panel will carefully consider all public comments as they develop their recommendations to the President.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Click here to view the meeting on February 11th from 10:00am – 6:00pm EST.
